Who we are
Since 1987, UEPG represents the European Aggregates Industry in Brussels, with 26 Members in 25 countries. It is by far the largest non-energy extractive industry, covering a demand of 3 billion tonnes of aggregates per year, produced on 26,000 sites by 15,000 companies (mostly SMEs), and employing 200,000 people across Europe.
What we do
The UEPG General Secretariat conducts public affairs activities. We promote the interests of our Members at national and European level in economic, technical, health & safety and environmental policies. We coordinate the EU network and pro-actively identify EU initiatives and policies that are likely to impact on European aggregates producers, keeping members updated on relevant policy developments and ensuring UEPG positions are considered by EU decision makers.!
