Membership in UEPG is based on a code of conduct which holds at its heart the principles of respecting the law and acting in support of law enforcement authorities.
UEPG Better Implementation and Regulatory Enforcement Task Force
UEPG has established a dedicated work group called the Better Implementation and Regulatory Enforcement Task Force. This is because we consider that there is little need for more legislation, but an improved implementation of the existing one.
Moreover, we consider that it is the industry’s duty to act as a key support for law enforcement. In the framework of this task force, industry experts discuss about improving companies’ role in fighting illegal extraction or improving environmental protection.
